Living in a large city there are so many touristy things to do, but when you live somewhere like that tourist things after fall by the wayside. 

So as part of my year I wanted to make sure I did something that I might not often think of doing. 

It helped that my friend’s, Jared, mom was in town because she wanted to go and I got to tag along.

So in case you are in Denver or visit Denver soon, here’s some info on how to Visit the Mint.

You have to arrive at 7am to get tickets to one of the four tours. We got tickets to 12:30  so we went and had breakfast at Sam’s No 3, also a very touristy place… 

The actual mint tour was interesting. Nice to learn a little Colorado and US history. 

All in all it was a nice day. Very different from a normal day at home.
