Living in Denver is a strange thing. We are definitely a “cow town” yet exceedingly over the last 6 years we have quickly developed into a large city.

That being said, I have lived here for 8 years and experienced both.

But tonight! Tonight was a different experience. I felt transplanted to the life of a cowgirl.

The National Stock Show is in town and tonight kicked off with Colorado vs the World Rodeo.

It was a good time. Bull riding, horse bucking, barrel racing… you name it, they had it.

I am not sure I would go to another rodeo because it was not necessarily really my thing, but it was definitely a great, fun experience.

Plus, I got to see alpacas after in the corrals.
