Here we go. I’ve been eating breakfast regularly, drinking apple cider vinegar every morning, taking vitamins! I lasted the week long that I challenged myself to for those challenges and even still continuing them the best I can. But now I am adding another- no soda for a month (I will still drink soda water) but no sugary colas.
This is one on my list every year. Usually I buy something new… something I listen to on a regular basis. But today I decided to check out something different.
I think this might be good. We will see when I get it!
So there’s been this little hole in the wall on Colfax in Denver for a long time, called Bourbon Grill. Back when I moved out here 8 years ago many of my friends frequented it. Everyone always raved about it.
They recently moved into a little bigger of place down the street. So I decided to check it out.
It was good. Definitely a great value. I would not rave about it but it might have changed a bit when they moved too.
As much as I share, today is one that is personal. I am creating a budget for the year… day to day… bill to bill… debt to debt… we all have our qualms.
In the next few days I might have to do something big because the past two days have been lazy, but I am keeping up and hope I can in the rest of the year.
It’s been a long day. I got home and realized I had not done anything yet. So watch an 80s movie it is. Sixteen Candles is the first one that came up on DirecTV.
Still keeping up with 365 things…
I returned to what might be my new favorite spot today, Vinh Xuong Bakery. I might slightly be in love with Vietnamese coffee. Which is crazy because I have never really been a coffee drinker.
Today in addition to the coffee I tried a Bahn Mi Sandwich. There were lots of choices, as you can see on this menu board:
I did not expect that. I thought it was one specific type. But I decided to go with the combination, which seemed like the most traditional one. And man, I was not disappointed.
This thing was huge! They offered chili oil and jalapeños with it, which, of course I took.
And the iced coffee went really well with it. Not disappointed at all!
This year is really shaping up. I’m loving the new adventures, new foods and attempts to venture out from my norm. Hope I can keep it up.
This may sound like a weird one. I am not even sure what I meant by it when I added it to the list. Obviously, I will not say yes to absurd or harmful things. But I think it will just be about making a conscious effort to be agreeable and maybe try new things. Only the day will tell…
