January 19th: No Soda for a Month

Here we go. I’ve been eating breakfast regularly, drinking apple cider vinegar every morning, taking vitamins! I lasted the week long that I challenged myself to for those challenges and even still continuing them the best I can. But now I am adding another- no soda for a month (I will still drink soda water) but no sugary colas.

January 17th: Try a New Resturant

So there’s been this little hole in the wall on Colfax in Denver for a long time, called Bourbon Grill. Back when I moved out here 8 years ago many of my friends frequented it. Everyone always raved about it.

They recently moved into a little bigger of place down the street. So I decided to check it out.

It was good. Definitely a great value. I would not rave about it but it might have changed a bit when they moved too.

January 14th: Try a Traditional Bahn Mi Sandwich

I returned to what might be my new favorite spot today, Vinh Xuong Bakery. I might slightly be in love with Vietnamese coffee. Which is crazy because I have never really been a coffee drinker.

Today in addition to the coffee I tried a Bahn Mi Sandwich. There were lots of choices, as you can see on this menu board:

I did not expect that. I thought it was one specific type. But I decided to go with the combination, which seemed like the most traditional one. And man, I was not disappointed.

This thing was huge! They offered chili oil and jalapeƱos with it, which, of course I took.

And the iced coffee went really well with it. Not disappointed at all!

This year is really shaping up. I’m loving the new adventures, new foods and attempts to venture out from my norm. Hope I can keep it up.
