Who knew there were so many conspiracy theories out there?!?
I found SOO MANY SITES.
And it just keeps going deeper and deeper.
Some are creepy. Some are intriguing. Some are just downright ridiculous.
If you want to dive in a little. I suggest just start with Wikipedia: Conspiracy Theories but Time Magazine has a great list of the Top 10 Conspiracy Theories.

So this is something I try to do once a year. I added it to my list to make sure I remembered to do it. In the past I have donated to Dumb Friends League and probably will again at a different time of this year.
However, I really wanted to donate to something else for this task. Make it something that I would not normally do.
So I found this website: Charity Navigator thinking it would make it easier to find a charity that was worthy and really needed this money. This was not the case. It actually made the choice much, much harder.
I cannot even decide between the categories:
Let alone decide once in those categories. But I set a standard for myself and just had to push through and do something.
So I looked through the “popular topics” that need money and found a popular charity called Direct Relief:
Direct Relief is a humanitarian aid organization, active in all 50 states and more than 80 countries, with a mission to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies.
They have multiple programs but I found it interesting you could donate to a specific cause. I chose to support people dealing with the wildfires in California.
It is tragic. What is overwhelming is there are so many tragic things going on in the world it was difficult to not give to everyone. I did not donate much. I do not have that much disposable income. But I hope anything can help. And I know if other people join in the help can be more widespread.
This is one of those things that is simple but can end up meaning a lot or at least having some sort of simple effect.
I found a website called On This Day.
I think I thing I lived the most was Famous People Born on August 26th. I have the same birthday as Mother Teresa! What an honor.
Then there is specific events that happened on the day. How cool is it that I was on born on Women’s Equality Day!
So cool! I encourage everyone to check out the site. Learn a little about your day of birth. Please share some interesting points you find.
So one of my things last year was to explore aromatherapy. I am now SO into essential oils. Some might even say obsessed.
When I look back on the things I did last year for the list and realize some of my everyday things in my life now have spawned from some of those simple tasks it makes doing these small things even more rewarding.
Anyway, I have this consistent arm pain and even though I have gone to the doctor various times they can’t seem to figure out what it is. They think it is something with my nerves but the tests are expensive and might not even really determine anything.
So I thought I might try a home remedy- and found this recipe for an essential oil. Wouldn’t you know? I have all the ingredients… with a slight change from the carriers oils… I use fractionated coconut oil.

So today I made the blend! I am truly hoping it works, at least to some degree.

With Spring here it has been so great to get out and enjoy the sunshine every day. I work so often that I don’t have much time to do this, so when I do I feel the need to take full advantage of it.
So today I urged myself to get up and go lay in the grass for a bit.
It was so relaxing! At least for me… Mia wasn’t too happy because she had to stay leashed near me. Regardless, she did have a smile on her face just being outside.
It was lovely to cloud watch!
This was not my plan for the day but I happened to be driving by the movie theater and did not have plans for the night so I decided to go catch a film by myself.
I watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2. It was funny and a great story.
Even though I really enjoyed the movie and had a fun time, I prefer going with a friend. It makes the movie experience more fun.
So when I came across this thing to do there was no other person/group/celebrity to send a letter to than The Revivalist. The letter describes my love for them… you can read it below… One of my tasks earlier in the year was to go to a new music venue, I went to see them. They are amazing. If you haven’t heard of them you should check them out. If you like them you should go see them live… they are more amazing live!
I just wanted to put out there how much I love you guys. It’s been a while since I have found a band that I connect to so much!!
I work at a small pizzaria/music venue in Denver and always create playlists for customers to listen to… I had asked a regular for some good new music to add to the list last Fall and she told me about you guys after she saw you at a festival up in Buena Vista… I’ve been hooked ever since.
I had the chance to see you in December at the Fox Theatre and then at the Ogden in February!
I look forward to seeing you guys again at the Westword Music Showcase!

So since yesterday I took a day to reflect on materials things I thought this was an appropriate day to kick off consciously giving thanks every morning for a month.
There are actually quite a few articles out there on the benefits of giving thanks. I might have shared some of these but will share again because it is important.

…and get rid of 10 things not on the list.
I know that life is not all about material things but we live in a society where they do start to consume us a little. Today, I am just doing a bit more decluttering. This is forcing me to think about the things I truly use and enjoy and purge some of the things that just really are not necessary. Like with my month of purging an item a day, this feels super satisfying and cleansing of both space and mind.
1. My computer.
2. My car.
3. My (NEW) plants. 😁🌿
4. My books.
5. My golf clubs.
6. My art (my own and other art I have collected).
7. My bed.
8. My art supplies.
9. My race medals.
10. My collection of cameras.
So… those things I appreciate the most, and would hate to live without. (Especially my bed 😂). So now, I need to toss some stuff.
It is getting to the point where everyday when I do something new I feel the need to remind myself I should always be doing these things. Yet, I have tried so many new things so far this year and pushed myself to do new things that I am beginning to forget some of those things I started off with. (Well, this is a rambling.)
Anyway, my point is, it is nice to have this blog because I can look back on the year and say “oh yes, I wanted to remind myself to do that more often”.
This morning was one of this enexperiences. I found a morning stretch routine online: Morning Stretches.
They are nothing difficult. Just something to wake you up and get you moving. My initial rant was because I need to remind myself to do this more often. My body feels better. My mind feels better. And my morning grogginess is not so prevalent.
Who knew that there was a whole website out there with HUNDREDS OF FREE DOCUMENTARIES?!

It has films on basically everything. It was actually really hard to choose, even just a category. But I went with the environment because it is such a large concern these days. And then just choose a random one: Planet Ocean.
It had beautiful imagery and some great information.
