January 17th: Try a New Resturant

So there’s been this little hole in the wall on Colfax in Denver for a long time, called Bourbon Grill. Back when I moved out here 8 years ago many of my friends frequented it. Everyone always raved about it.

They recently moved into a little bigger of place down the street. So I decided to check it out.

It was good. Definitely a great value. I would not rave about it but it might have changed a bit when they moved too.

January 12th: Try a New Whiskey

I drink Jameson. I love my whiskey and very rarely stray from it. So I challenged myself today to drink something new.

So, I’m watching football at my favorite watering hole and was talking about my list with my friend Jason. He asked what I was doing today. I hadn’t really thought about it yet.

Most days, I wake up and scroll through the list to determine what is appropriate for the day and what I can get done. Being Sunday I typically am a little lazier than other days since it’s technically my Saturday afternoon.

So scrolling through the list I came upon “try a new whiskey” and Jason offered to buy!

There’s not a huge selection where we were but still a few I had never had before.

We chose this local Colorado one:

Jason tried one too.

It is not necessarily something I would drink on a regular basis but a nice change up for the day. A little more but than I’m used to with Jameson but a nice sweet finish.

January 11th: Go to a Rodeo

Living in Denver is a strange thing. We are definitely a “cow town” yet exceedingly over the last 6 years we have quickly developed into a large city.

That being said, I have lived here for 8 years and experienced both.

But tonight! Tonight was a different experience. I felt transplanted to the life of a cowgirl.

The National Stock Show is in town and tonight kicked off with Colorado vs the World Rodeo.

It was a good time. Bull riding, horse bucking, barrel racing… you name it, they had it.

I am not sure I would go to another rodeo because it was not necessarily really my thing, but it was definitely a great, fun experience.

Plus, I got to see alpacas after in the corrals.

2019

I’ve been doing this for 3 years now and never completed a full year. Even when I don’t complete a year it feels good to check things off a list that I probably never would have never done had I not forced myself to do them.

Hindsight is 20/20…

Going to complete this year’s list!! Do one with me. Just think of 365 things you want to do this year and make the best of it! Even if you just do 30 of them, it’s more than you would have done without the list.
