June 5th: Watch a Disney Movie

This mini-vacation has been filled with kids stuff… maybe that’s why I was doing swing on swingset, skip, no cursing leading up to the week. I just have been feeling my inner child bursting to get out.

So I guess it is only appropriate that I check off Watch a Disney Movie this week too.

It is funny, when I was making the list of 365 things back in December I put certain things down and had a certain expectation of what the experience would be when I got to it. Very rarely was I right.

The expectation for this was on a sick day, or a cold winter day, I would be stuck inside and in the comfort of my room I would watch a classic Disney movie that I hadn’t seen in a while.

Instead, and to my delight, I watched a Disney movie I had never seen, with my Indianapolis nieces, having a movie night filled with popcorn, candy, ice cream and sleepover.

It was a fun night and hopefully a memory both I and they will cherish.

May 26th: Watch Schindler’s List

I suppose the last few days have been filled with movies. It has been interesting to see some classics. Quite a difference between Casablanca and Schindler’s List but both so great and historic in their own right.

It is interesting to compare and contrast the differences in people’s experiences between the two… and although I had no intention of comparing them, it’s interesting that they are comparable.

Anyway, always just lovely to sit down and watch a movie.

May 23rd: Go to the Movies Alone

This was not my plan for the day but I happened to be driving by the movie theater and did not have plans for the night so I decided to go catch a film by myself.

I watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2. It was funny and a great story.

Even though I really enjoyed the movie and had a fun time, I prefer going with a friend. It makes the movie experience more fun.

April 1st: Watch a Bruce Lee Movie

I definitely think it is one of those things you have to experience at some point in your life. But after the John Wayne movie earlier this year I think I prefer that… evidently King Fu movies just are not my thing.

I watched Enter the Dragon because it was recommended as one of the best Bruce Lee movies. Maybe I will have to watch another one to get a full understanding of the genre.
